quality seafood with a personal touch

Vincent Petruzziello and Larry Leming, took over ownership of Mr. Shrimp in November of 2001 at the original location on Route 35 in Wall, NJ. They brought a new look and resurgence to the Jersey Shore landmark. Mr. Petruzziello had previously managed restaurants, including seafood restaurants, before taking full time operational duties of Mr. Shrimp. Mr. Leming, a veteran of the Jersey Shore restaurant scene, brought twenty plus years of seafood restaurant experience to Mr. Shrimp.

After 4 years, they moved from the 600 sq. foot fish shack to the new state-of-the-art, 4500 sq. foot restaurant and market at the current location in Belmar, NJ. Their combined knowledge of seafood, along with an emphasis on providing customers with the freshest and tastiest food possible made the pairing a perfect match. Unfortunately, in 2008, Mr. Leming passed away suddenly. However, his original vision and attention to quality that both he and Mr. Petruzziello shared, continues on at Mr. Shrimp.

More than ninety percent of the products served at Mr. Shrimp are made on premise and that is what Mr. Petruzziello demands. From the hand-shucked clams used to make clam chowder to the hand chopped cabbage for their signature coleslaw, Mr. Shrimp provides food that can truly be called "homemade."

In Mr. Leming's memory, Mr. Shrimp supports charities that fund cancer research. For more information on cancer research or if you'd like to make a
